How does a Volunteer support Hospice?
- Providing respite care to the family
- Activities such as reading, playing cards, friendly visits and other opportunities for Socialization
- Office and Administrative support
- Offering unique talents in any way toward supporting patients, families and the community at large
Our Volunteers are trained in Hospice care grief and loss, spirituality, communication skills and care and comfort.
Direct patient care volunteers provide visits, phone calls, bereavement services, companionship and memory sharing.
Office volunteers may assist with typing, filing, mailings and other office duties.
